As I said goodbye to everyone there seemed to be a common theme: Keep in touch. In the past week, I’ve probably said some form of, “So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night” (minus the German part, because I do not speak German) to about 20 or 30 people — for those of you that don’t know, I’m moving from Amherst, MA/Greenwich, CT to Austin, TX (about 1,800 miles or so).
Back on topic: As I drove Eva from South Hadley, MA to Greenwich, CT today, one thought kept crossing my mind– I SHOULD BLOG ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE. My facebook wife (who coincidentally also has a blog: http://cine-fille.com/) told me to a. DO IT! and; b. “just get a tumblr,” so like the good spouse I am – I listened, sort of.
None of that was actually on topic; well not really. Anyways, I am going to use this blog as a means to keep people updated as well as a lesson in self-discipline. I will updated daily (at night, probably before I go to bed — like I’m doing now). When possible, I will include photos in these updates as well as interesting “statistics” or events that occurred during the trip.
For those of you that don’t know me, I’ll finish (and start) writing the “About” section which may or may not include the rationale behind naming this blog after Ms. (and for a brief 42 hour or so period, Mrs.) Braun. I will clarify that I am NOT part of the Neo-Nazi movement nor do I have any intention of joining — I am, in fact, a Jew, with a really weird sense of humor.
I keep yawning, so I’m going to go to bed.
