So today was the first day of the road trip. We arrived in Charlottesville around 7:30 and I am EXHAUSTED. Words cannot even describe the sort of fatigue I’m experiencing right now.
As for the actual road trip part: I started off the day balling my eyes out because I didn’t want to leave. I super love my family and being so far away from home is going to be rough. I cried about 5 times today.
Anyways, I’ve learned that the only people that can drive are New Yorkers. The one guy I spoke to in West Virginia was really nice. Virginia has really cheap gas. Other than that, nada.
All that being said, I think if I remember (for instance, tomorrow), I am going to post my mileage stats. I was originally thinking about posting about the different license plates but true story, too many to remember.
Eva has been doing well though. She’s fully packed and is staying that way until the 12th. I don’t have much more to say except that if you want to get a post card from me, you should email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) your address and you’ll get an awesome EVA BRAUN post card. likewise if you have any recommendations on food and hotels, email me — we’re always looking for suggestions.
Good night and good luck.
